January Comics / cómics de enero

I only read a handful of comics last month, but they were all good. Marvel’s new series are great, but my favorite issue of the month, and one of the best comics I’ve read in the past 12 months, is “Love is Love”, an extraordinary selection of short stories, all of them deeply touching and wonderfully crafted. And now, without further ado, here are January comics as per solicitations:

CHAMPIONS #4
(W) Mark Waid (A/CA) Humberto Ramos. Dead set on proving themselves, the Champions are faced with their first no-win scenario - and how it plays out will reveal a whole new side to certain members. Rated T

INFAMOUS IRON MAN #3
(W) Brian Michael Bendis (A/CA) Alex Maleev. • Some people from Tony Stark's past have a VERY big problem with Victor Von Doom taking the mantle of Iron Man. • One of those people is Pepper Potts, a.k.a. Rescue! • She is back and she is pissed! Where has she been? Rated T+

JESSICA JONES #4
(W) Brian Michael Bendis (A) Michael Gaydos (CA) David Mack. Jessica Jones latest case has revealed a new hidden evil in the Marvel Universe. An evil so terrifying she was willing to rip her family apart to save them from it. But was the sacrifice enough? Another all-new blistering chapter of Marvel's premier detective. Parental Advisory

LOVE IS LOVE
The comic book industry comes together to honor those killed in Orlando this year. From IDW Publishing, with assistance from DC Entertainment, this oversize comic contains moving and heartfelt material from some of the greatest talents in comics – – mourning the victims, supporting the survivors, celebrating the LGBTQ community, and examining love in today’s world.

MOONSHINE #4
(W) Brian Azzarello (A/CA) Eduardo Risso. After Joe the Boss' NYC crew doesn't receive quite the 'warm Southern welcome' they were expecting from Hiram Holt's family, it's all-out gang war! But when one side has a werewolf, it's hardly a fair fight.

UNWORTHY THOR #3
(W) Jason Aaron (A/CA) Olivier Coipel. The Odinson and Beta Ray Bill continue their quest to take the hammer of the Ultimate Thor from the clutches of the Collector. Elsewhere, a mysterious and powerful cosmic entity has learned of the weapon's location and makes plans to claim the hammer as his own. And also, the Odinson gets a new pet?! Rated T+

INFAMOUS IRON MAN #4

LOVE IS LOVE
