February Comics / cómics de febrero

Eternals and the Marvel anthology continue to be good. Of course Doctor Doom has been the greatest title from Marvel in quite a while. I’m enjoying Space Bastards and I’m absolutely loving the hardcover edition of Byrne’s Superman. However, if I had to choose, my favorite comic of the month would be Strange Adventures # 8. And now, without further ado, here are February comics as per solicitations:

CROSSED TP VOL 06 (MR)
(W) Garth Ennis & Various (A) Raulo Caceres, Miguel Ruiz (CA) Raulo Caceres. In a volume that spans several eras of Crossed infection, we join three prolific writers each telling a tale set in the horrifying misery of the world during the plague. Simon Spurrier puts us in the mind of a unique Crossed relationship, one which sees lovers from two different worlds as they are driven apart by infection. David Lapham continues fan favorite Crossed Psychopath survivor, Amanda's tale as she fights with the rising insanity in her own mind and a group of lunatic scavengers in 'The Livers.' And series creator Garth Ennis returns to tell a story so big that it re-defines the way you will see the Crossed. In 'The Fatal Englishman' the biggest question in the Crossed universe is answered…how it all begins. Go where other horror survival stories fear to tread and enter the grueling world of the Crossed! Trade collects issues #19-28 of the Crossed Badlands series.

DOCTOR DOOM #8

And with the Ultimate Nullifier in hand, he’s able to keep the entire world at bay while he declares total war on the country that tried to overthrow him. Once the dust settles, he realizes he’s humanity’s last hope for preventing an unstable black hole from annihilating all of Earth.

DOCTOR DOOM #9
After growing the Latverian empire through bloodshed, Doom turns his attention to the potential apocalypse that is the black hole in Earth’s orbit, as he’s the only brilliant scientific mind left that has any chance of preventing catastrophe. But in the wake of all he’s been through, Victor grapples with a profound change of heart...one he dare not show his enemies, else they see his weakness as opportunity!

ETERNALS #2
W) Kieron Gillen (A/CA) Esad Ribic. THANOS VS. IKARIS! • In the heart of a city driven mad by time! • Eternals live eternally. One is dead. They handle it well. • No, they don't. They handle it badly. Eternal revenge is a dish best served forever. Rated T+

1. Space Bastards sounds like an evil mirror universe version of Futurama. Someday I might get Strange Adventures and hope it's as good as King's other stuff.
