July Comic Books / cómics de julio

My birthday was in July and, of course, I had to give myself a pretty good present: 17 comics, 2 trade paperbacks and 1 hardcover. Now that’s what I call a good birthday present. I’m having as much fun with FF as usual, but my favorite Marvel title continues to be Young Avengers. Dexter is probably the best TV series I’ve seen this decade, it’s based on the novels by Jeff Lindsay, the author of this Dexter miniseries (I could actually listen to Michael C. Hall’s voice while reading it, and that was just awesome) and it’s much better than I hoped it would be. Second issues of Jupiter’s Legacy and Astro City are very good, and deserve to be reviewed at length. The crossover between Unwritten and Fables is great. Lazarus is very promising (I enjoyed the first issue), unlike Satellite Sam which I found a bit disappointing. It’s so exciting seeing Harlan Ellison and Paul Chadwick working together in 7 Against Chaos. And without further ado, here are July’s comics as per solicitations. Which one would you've chosen as birthday presents?

AMERICA'S GOT POWERS #6 (of 6)
(W) Jonathan Ross (A/CA) Bryan Hitch. EVERYONE wants a piece of Tommy Watts - at least the part that can give them super powers. But if everyone in America is a superhero, will that be a good thing...or the worst thing that could ever happen to planet Earth?

The return of the acclaimed series continues, with a closeup look at the humans behind the super humans.

DEXTER #1 (OF 5) (RES)
(W) Jeff Lindsay (A) Dalibor Talajic (CA) Mike Del Mundo • Dexter Morgan is not just an above-average forensic blood spatter expert.

AMERICA'S GOT POWERS #6 (of 6)

DEXTER #1 (of 5)

FF #8 NOW

FF #9 NOW
¿Qué es lo que pasa? Una fiesta en la piscina. ¿Con quién pelean? Una fiesta en la piscina. ¿Qué más hay? Una fiesta en la piscina.

HARLAN ELLISONS 7 AGAINST CHAOS HC

LAZARUS #1 (MR)

UNWRITTEN #50 (MR)

YOUNG AVENGERS #6 NOW

YOUNG AVENGERS #7 NOW

    - Deadpool kills Deadpool by Cullen Bunn & Salva Spin... mis favoritos el pandapool & galactuspool...

  4. Hola Arcadio!
