Kids

For years I haven't celebrated Halloween. I usually stay at home reading or writing. However this year I decided to do something different. I stopped at a Primax gas station. In the mini store, carrying such mundane things like eggs and tuna fish cans there was a gray haired man, with well-rounded glasses in his face. Of course I knew who he was, I had talked to him 5 years ago. It was none other than Alfredo Bryce Echenique, a well-known Peruvian writer. I said hello and he said hello, and then he hopped into a minicooper and he vanished into the night. As I kept walking I couldn't stop thinking about his books, particularly "No me esperen en abril", a novel that includes the most peculiar adventures of a group of kids in a boys-only school. Something of that spirit, I hope, it's in this drawing.
And yet, this was not the most incredible thing that happened to me that night. But that, my friends, it's a story for next time.

Spooky stuff
Someone had the idea of drawing spooky stuff for October 31st last year. And I thought it was a good idea. 2B pencil.
