In August I returned from Spain and soon after that I traveled to Milwaukee and Madison, so I didn’t have enough time to read that month’s comics, especially since I ended up getting more than usual. Anyway, as usual I enjoyed Eternals, The Marvels, Batman Reptilian, Proctor Valley Road and Blue Flame. I got a few first issues which were quite promising, such as Defenders, Echolands (amazing art by J H Williams III), Killer Queens and Nine Stones (both comics with LGBT characters). I really liked the Batman the World anthology, with creators from different countries and continents. And this year my favorite Free Comic Book Day was Ed Piskor’s Red Room, it’s the first time in years that 2000 AD didn’t get first place. I must say once again The Nice House on the Lake was extraordinary, but the best comic of the month was God of Tremors by Milligan and Kowalski. BATMAN REPTILIAN #3
