August comics / cómics de agosto

Since I went to Peru for a couple of weeks in August, I wasn’t able to read my comics until this week. But in any case, I have to say I really enjoyed catching up with ongoing titles like Die, Invaders and American Gods. I was impressed by the magnificent art in Conan the Barbarian Exodus. The Shock anthology was published last year but I bought it just now, and it’s an amazing book (with collaborators such as Neil Gaiman and Michael Zulli). Finally, my favorite comic of the month is Marvels Epilogue, by Kurt Busiek and Alex Ross, a great standalone story that captures the magic of the original miniseries (published 25 years ago). And now, without further ado, here are August comics as per solicitations:

AFTERSHOCK SHOCK HC

Como estuve en Perú por un par de semanas en agosto, no tuve tiempo de leer mis cómics hasta esta semana. pero en cualquier caso, debo decir que disfruté poniéndome al día con títulos como Die, Invaders and American Gods. Me impresionó el magnífico arte de Conan the Barbarian Exodus. La antología Shock se publicó el año pasado pero recién la compré ahora, y es asombrosa (tiene colaboradores como Neil Gaiman y Michael Zulli). Finalmente, mi cómic favorito del mes es Marvels Epilogue, de Kurt Busiek y Alex Ross una gran historia autoconclusiva que captura la magia de la miniserie original (que se publicó hace 25 años). Y ahora, sin mayores preámbulos, aquí van los cómics de agosto:
