October Comics / cómics de octubre

After an impromptu trip to Las Vegas with my amazing group of European friends, I came back home ready to read October’s comics, and I sure found plenty of good stuff this month. I have to say I absolutely loved Miracleman: the Silver Age #1, Gaiman and Buckingham are an amazing creative team, by far the best I’ve read in a while, but since this was originally published in 1992 it can’t be my favorite of the month. Shaolin Cowboy continues to be an absolute graphic delight, Darrow is always impressive. The two DC miniseries I’m following are great, Batman Fortress and The Human Target (I should review them both). I’d say the best comic of the month was Lovesick by Luana Vecchio! And now without further ado here are October comics as per solicitations: 

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #88 Halloween Comic Extravaganza 2022

Después de un improvisado viaje a Las Vegas con mi asombroso grupo de amigos europeos, regresé a casa lista para leer los cómics de octubre y vaya que encontré muchas cosas buenas este mes. Debo decir que me encantó Miracleman: la Edad de Plata #1, Gaiman y Buckingham son un equipo creativo increíble, de lejos, lo mejor que he leído en mucho tiempo, pero como esto se publicó originalmente en 1992, no puede ser mi favorito del mes. Shaolin Cowboy sigue siendo una delicia gráfica absoluta, Darrow siempre es impresionante. Las dos miniseries de DC que estoy siguiendo son estupendas, Batman Fortress y The Human Target (debería reseñarlas). ¡Diría que el mejor cómic del mes fue Lovesick de Luana Vecchio! October comics / cómics de octubre

This year I celebrated Halloween by wearing an Obi Wan Kenobi costume and reading a lot of amazing comics! American Gods continues to surprise me. This month I also read the first issue of Safe Sex which was great, and I also read Oliver’s last chapter. In addition to that, I got a lot of 1-dollar reprints and the facsimile edition of Amazing Fantasy # 15 and, of course, another classic: Crisis on Infinite Earths (Deluxe hardcover edition)! My favorite comic of the month was Die # 8. And now, without further ado, here are October comics as per solicitations:

Este año celebré Halloween disfrazándome de Obi Wan Kenobi y leyendo un montón de cómics asombrosos. American Gods continúa sorprendiéndome. Este mes también leí el primer número de Safe Sex, que estuvo estupendo, y también leí el último episodio de Oliver. Además, adquirí muchas reimpresiones de 1 dólar y la edición facsímil de Amazing Fantasy # 15 y, por supuesto, otro clásico: Crisis en tierras infinitas (edición de lujo en tapa dura). October wasn’t an abundant month for comics, but I really enjoyed re-reading Freakangels. Thor was OK, American Gods was great but Magic Order # 3 was even greater (this the best I’ve read from Millar in a long time, plus Coipel’s art is amazing). And now without further ado, here are October comic as per solicitations:  

AMERICAN GODS: MY AINSEL #7

FREAKANGELS TP VOL 1

Octubre no fue precisamente abundante en materia comiquera, pero realmente disfruté releyendo Freakangels. Thor estuvo OK. American Gods estuvo estupendo pero Magic Order #3 fue incluso mejor (es lo mejor que he leído de Millar en mucho tiempo y el arte de Coipel es asombroso).
