January Comics / cómics de enero

Only 4 comics in January? Well, all I can say is that there will be more next time. Bendis continues to do a good job with the Legion of Super-Heroes, The Dollhouse Family is extraordinary, and this issue of Punisher Soviet is my favorite of the Ennis miniseries. But if I had to choose the best comic of the month then it would be Marvels X # 1, Alex Ross and Jim Krueger have done it again! And now, without further ado, here are January comics as per solicitations:

DOLLHOUSE #3
(W) Mike Carey (A) Peter Gross, Vince Locke (CA) Jay Anacleto. Childhood ends. Children grow up. And young Alice is now a mother herself, raising her daughter alone in 1990s London. November comics / cómics de noviembre

After eating turkey and ham, I enjoyed the long weekend since I had plenty of time to read my new comics. I really liked the first issue of Bendis & Sook’s Legion of Super-Heroes, and this might very well be the first time I follow a regular series from DC since 2006 or thereabouts. Of course, there were also other very interesting first issues, such as Folklords and Money Shot, and especially Punisher Soviet! Aaron continues to delight his readers with both Conan the Barbarian and King Thor. Die, American Gods and Invaders continue to be good. But my favorite issue of the month was The Dollhouse Family # 1, Mike Carey and Peter Gross have surprised me again, I can’t wait for the next issue. And now, without further ado, here are November comics as per solicitations:

Después de comer pavo y jamón, disfruté el fin de semana largo poniéndome al día con la lectura de mis cómics. Realmente me gustó el primer número de Legion of Super-Heroes de Bendis & Sook y bien podría ser la primera colección de regular de DC que me animo a seguir desde el 2006 más o menos. Por supuesto, hubo otros interesantes primeros números, como Folklords y Money Shot, y especialmente Punisher Soviet. Aaron continúa deleitando a sus lectores con Conan the Barbarian y King Thor. Die, American Gods e Invaders continúan siendo buenos. Pero mi cómic favorito del mes fue The Dollhouse Family # 1, Mike Carey and Peter Gross me han sorprendido nuevamente, estoy impaciente por leer el siguiente número. This year I celebrated Halloween by wearing an Obi Wan Kenobi costume and reading a lot of amazing comics! American Gods continues to surprise me. This month I also read the first issue of Safe Sex which was great, and I also read Oliver’s last chapter. In addition to that, I got a lot of 1-dollar reprints and the facsimile edition of Amazing Fantasy # 15 and, of course, another classic: Crisis on Infinite Earths (Deluxe hardcover edition)! My favorite comic of the month was Die # 8. And now, without further ado, here are October comics as per solicitations:

Este año celebré Halloween disfrazándome de Obi Wan Kenobi y leyendo un montón de cómics asombrosos. American Gods continúa sorprendiéndome. Este mes también leí el primer número de Safe Sex, que estuvo estupendo, y también leí el último episodio de Oliver. Además, adquirí muchas reimpresiones de 1 dólar y la edición facsímil de Amazing Fantasy # 15 y, por supuesto, otro clásico: Crisis en tierras infinitas (edición de lujo en tapa dura). Since I was visiting friends in Wisconsin last month, I couldn’t read my comics till now. Die continues to be very good. The conclusion of Spider-Man Life Story was impressive. The first issue of Bendis’ Legion of Super-Heroes and King Thor were appealing and promising, with amazing art! Marvel Comics # 1000 is my favorite comic of the month, a really magnificent anniversary issue. And now, without further ado, here are September comics as per solicitations:

Only a handful of comics in June, but I’m sure that in a few days I’ll be celebrating my birthday (July 11) with more comics than last month! I enjoyed reading Fantastic Four, Invaders and Thor (and my letter was published!). Spider-Man: Life Story was outstanding. April comics / Cómics de abril

I read a lot of amazing comics in April. After 80 years of uninterrupted publication, Detective Comics finally reached the milestone 1000th issue, and I’m glad to see that DC put together the best creative teams to pay homage to one of the greatest superheroes: Batman! The new arc of American Gods is quite promising. And, as usual, I enjoyed League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Tempest and Cinema Purgatorio. Planet of the Nerds # 1 was surprisingly good! The first issue of Section Zero was satisfactory. Conan the Barbarian, Invaders and Spider-Man Life Story continue to impress me. The conclusion of Die’s first arc was great and this was my favorite issue of the month. And now without further ado here are April comics as per solicitations:

Leí muchos cómics asombrosos en abril. Después de 80 años de publicación ininterrumpida, Detective Comics finalmente llega al emblemático número 1000, y me alegra ver que DC reunió a los mejores equipos creativos para rendir homenaje a uno de los más grandiosos superhéroes: Batman. El nuevo arco argumental de American Gods es bastante prometedor. Y, como siempre, disfruté con League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Tempest y Cinema Purgatorio. Planet of the Nerds # 1 fue sorprendentemente bueno. El primer número de Section Zero fue satisfactorio. Conan the Barbarian, Invaders y Spider-Man Life Story continúan impresionándome. La conclusión del primer arco de Die fue estupenda y este fue mi cómic favorito del mes. Y ahora, sin mayores preámbulos, ahí van los cómics de abril:
