June comic books / cómics de junio

Today is my birthday. And I’ve decided to celebrate it like I always do: sharing with you my most recent acquisitions. In this case, half a dozen of wonderful comic books. MPH and Starlight are amazing, and so far Slott’s Silver Surfer has been quite a pleasant surprise. This month I’m finally reading new Miracleman stories (issue # 6 was still included in my old Eclipse editions, but not issue # 7), so I’m even more excited than usual. The Unwritten continues to be the best ongoing series of 2014, improving with each new chapter (Mike Carey is so impressive). Nevertheless, the best issue of the month is The Wicked + The Divine, by Gillen & McKelvie. Brilliant stuff! And now, without further ado, here are June comics as per solicitations:

MIRACLEMAN #7

SILVER SURFER #3

Hoy es mi cumpleaños. Y he decidido celebrarlo como siempre lo hago: compartiendo con ustedes mis más recientes adquisiciones. En este caso, media docena de cómics maravillosos. MPH y Starlight son asombrosos, y hasta ahora el Silver Surfer de Slott ha sido una sorpresa placentera. Este mes estoy leyendo finalmente nuevas historias de Miracleman (el # 6 aún estaba incluido en mis viejas ediciones de Eclipse, pero no el # 7), así que estoy más emocionado de lo normal. The Unwritten continúa siendo la mejor serie mensual del 2014, y mejora con cada nuevo capítulo (Mike Carey es tan impresionante). No obstante, lo mejor del mes es The Wicked + The Divine de Gillen y McKelvie. ¡Brillante! Y ahora, sin más preámbulos, aquí van los cómics de junio:

Indeed, it’s almost 2 years of relentless efforts bringing you the very best comic book and film reviews, as well as the occasional art section featuring my works or works by renowned artists. When I started this blog I didn't expect much, and in almost no time it became my main venue to express my opinions about everything that I enjoy reading or watching.

I think that the 300th post calls for a celebration, and coincidentally (I didn’t plan this, I swear it) today it’s also my birthday. I’m 28 now. De hecho, son casi 2 años de incansable esfuerzo trayéndoles las mejores reseñas de cómics y películas, así como la ocasional sección de arte con mis trabajos así como con la obra de artistas de renombre. Cuando empecé este blog lo hice sin mayores expectativas, y en poco tiempo se convirtió en el espacio más importante para expresar mi opinión sobre todo lo que disfruto leyendo o viendo.

Creo que el post 300 merece una celebración, y por esas coincidencias hoy también es mi cumpleaños (esto no ha sido planeado, de verdad). Tengo 28 años ahora. Así que eso duplica la cantidad de razones para celebrar, y por supuesto nada de esto hubiera sido posible sin el continuo apoyo de mis amigos lectores.
