In July “Barbenheimer” became a thing, and just by coincidence I ended up joining this trend. Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer (2023) is based on the book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin, and it’s one of the most fascinating biographies one could possibly find. Theoretical physicist Oppenheimer is magnificently played by Cillian Murphy (Peacock), in what might very well be the best performance of his career. We see Oppenheimer attending different universities and traveling, always concerned with his research, until the opportunity to apply all his theoretical findings comes along. Thus the father of the atomic bomb is born. “Now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds”. Nolan offers a complex panoramic view throughout several decades, showing us the process that led to the first atomic bomb and the eventual bombardment of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Oppenheimer believed that having such a powerful weapon would put an end to War World II and to all wars to come. However, he was wrong and besides he couldn’t anticipate that he’d be attacked by an influential senator, splendidly played by Robert Downey Jr. (The Judge), who accused him of being a communist supporter. There are absolutely brilliant moments in the film, from conversations with Einstein, to the terrible nightmares Oppenheimer has after Hiroshima, to the sheer sense of power and awe that come with the first atomic explosion. The ethic intricacies and the nuanced political and ideological landscape of the US in the 30s, 40s and 50s makes for a thrilling and deeply captivating film that definitely ranks in the top 10 of the year. The all-star cast is very impressive: Emily Blunt (A Quiet Place), Florence Pugh (Midsommar), Matt Damon (The Martian), Kenneth Branagh (Conspiracy), Josh Hartnett, Michael Angarano (The English Teacher), Dane DeHaan (Kill Your Darlings), Rami Malek (The Little Things), Casey Affleck (Manchester by the Sea) and Gary Oldman (The Woman in the Window). Highly recommended. 

I had zero interested in Barbie (2023), until I got free tickets courtesy of University Housing, and when I found out the director was Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird) and that the script was co-written by her and Noah Baumbach (The Squid and the Whale), I immediately became interested. From the initial scenes, Barbie will make you laugh out loud, but in addition to good doses of humor, we have an interesting take on feminism in a fantasy land inhabited by, literally, all the Barbie dolls with their respective Kens. Margot Robbie (Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood) is the stereotypical Barbie and she is wooed by Ken, played by Ryan Gosling (Only God Forgives). Life in Barbieland is pure bliss, until the stereotypical Barbie starts questioning her role in this idyllic place, and is soon forced to take on a self-discovery journey that will take her to the real world, in which women have no power at all and Barbie as a toy has lost all its appeal and meaning. Can Barbie still inspire women to empower themselves? And will Ken embrace the patriarchal ways of our world? Hilarious and creative, Barbie was definitely a big surprise. The cast includes Dua Lipa, Simu Liu (Shang Chi), Michael Cera (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World), Will Ferrell (Downhill), among others.

Andy Muschietti’s The Flash (2023) was much better than what I had imagined. Ezra Miller (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) is Barry Allen, a young man with the ability to run at the speed of light (and even break the time barrier). After helping Batman and Wonder Woman, Flash makes the mistake of traveling back in time to save the life of his mother, Maribel Verdú (El laberinto del fauno). He has the best intentions but he doesn’t realize that he has now created an alternative timeline in which there is no Justice League, only the original Batman from Tim Burton’s movies, wonderfully played by Michael Keaton (Birdman). Together they recruit Supergirl, played by Sasha Calle, and try to face against Michael Shannon (Take Shelter), who reprises his role as general Zod. Fighting against impossible odds, the only edge they have is Flash’s ability to travel back in time, but every time he does, the situation gets even worse. With vibrant action and spectacular sequences, The Flash is one of the best superhero movies from DC, and what makes it even better is the rich emotional connection the protagonist has with his parents, and the frustration he feels when he is unable to save them. The cast includes Jeremy Irons, George Clooney (Tomorrowland), Ben Affleck (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman).

David F. Sandberg’s Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023) is a fun sequel that reunites the Shazam family, led by Zachary Levi (Shazam!). It isn’t easy to be a superhero, especially when you’re just a teenager transformed into an adult after saying a magic word. This time, the heroes will have to fight against 3 goddesses played by Rachel Zegler, Lucy Liu and Helen Mirren (The Good Liar). In a magical duel of unseen proportions, the protagonist must find a way to not only fight against the Greek pantheon but also try to keep his putative family together. Witch charming characters and never-ending comedy, this sequel lives up to our expectations. The cast includes Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer (It) and Adam Brody (The O.C.).

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023), directed by Peyton Reed, is a fun Marvel movie that takes place in a microscopic universe. Paul Rudd reprises his role as Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly is the Wasp, Michael Douglas (Behind the Candelabra) is the original Ant-Man and Michelle Pfeiffer (French Exit) is the original Wasp, while Jonathan Majors debuts as classic Marvel supervillain Kang, the Conqueror. Although the movie has really stupid moments, like the scene in which Ant-Man’s daughter says she had to fight against the police because they wanted to relocate homeless people (since when defending the homeless turns you into a superhero?), or villains that are too ridiculous (I’m looking at you MODOK – Mechanical Organism Designed Only for Killing), it also has absolutely delightful moments, like Bill Murray (Lost in Translation) sequence; I’d watch the movie if only for that.

Susanne Bier directs Bird Box (2018), a very interesting horror production that revolves around Sandra Bullock (The Unforgivable) and a group of survivors: John Malkovich (Being John Malkovich), Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story), Tom Hollander (The White Lotus), Colson Baker, etc. Earth has been invaded by aliens that cause the death of anyone who looks at them, so in order to survive, people must cover their eyes and do everything they can to avoid visual contact. Bird Box has a lot of suspense, and most of it comes from Bier’s ability to create an ominous atmosphere, in which sounds are all we have at our disposal. Since we cannot see the creatures (just like the characters), we can only imagine them, and that’s always more powerful than any sort of special effect. Although the ending was perhaps a bit too optimistic for me, given the magnitude of the catastrophe, Bird Box still holds up and I’m definitely interested in its sequel.

El físico teórico Oppenheimer está magníficamente interpretado por Cillian Murphy (Peacock), en lo que bien podría ser la mejor actuación de su carrera. Vemos a Oppenheimer asistiendo a diferentes universidades y viajando, siempre preocupado por su investigación, hasta que llega la oportunidad de aplicar todos sus hallazgos teóricos. Así nace el padre de la bomba atómica. “Ahora me he convertido en la muerte, el destructor de mundos”. Nolan ofrece un complejo panorama a lo largo de varias décadas, mostrándonos el proceso que concluyó con la primera bomba atómica y el eventual bombardeo de Hiroshima y Nagasaki. Oppenheimer creía que tener un arma tan poderosa pondría fin a la Segunda Guerra Mundial y a todas las guerras por venir. Sin embargo, estaba equivocado y además no podía anticipar que sería atacado por un influyente senador, espléndidamente interpretado por Robert Downey Jr. (The Judge), quien lo acusó de ser partidario del comunismo. Hay momentos absolutamente brillantes en la película, desde conversaciones con Einstein hasta las terribles pesadillas que tiene Oppenheimer después de Hiroshima, hasta la pura sensación de poder y asombro que acompaña a la primera explosión atómica. No tenía ningún interés en Barbie (2023), hasta que obtuve boletos gratis cortesía de University Housing, y cuando me enteré que la directora era Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird) y que el guión fue coescrito por ella y Noah Baumbach (The Squid and the Whale), inmediatamente me interesé. Desde las escenas iniciales, Barbie te hará reír a carcajadas, pero además de buenas dosis de humor, tenemos una interesante aproximación al feminismo en un país de fantasía habitado, literalmente, por todas las muñecas Barbie con sus respectivos Ken. Margot Robbie (Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood) es la Barbie estereotipada y Ken, interpretado por Ryan Gosling (Only God Forgives), la corteja. La vida en Barbieland es pura felicidad, hasta que la Barbie estereotipada comienza a cuestionar su papel en este lugar idílico y pronto se ve obligada a emprender un viaje de autodescubrimiento que la llevará al mundo real, en el que las mujeres no tienen ningún poder y Barbie como juguete ha perdido todo su atractivo y significado. ¿Aun puede Barbie inspirar a las mujeres y darles poder? ¿Y asumirá Ken las costumbres patriarcales de nuestro mundo? Hilarante y creativa, Barbie definitivamente fue una gran sorpresa. El elenco incluye a Dua Lipa, Simu Liu (Shang Chi), Michael Cera (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World), Will Ferrell (Downhill), entre otros.

The Flash (2023), de Andy Muschietti, fue mucho mejor de lo que había imaginado. Ezra Miller (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) es Barry Allen, un joven con la capacidad de correr a la velocidad de la luz (e incluso romper la barrera del tiempo). Después de ayudar a Batman y Wonder Woman, Flash comete el error de viajar en el tiempo para salvar la vida de su madre, Maribel Verdú (El laberinto del fauno). Tiene las mejores intenciones, pero no se da cuenta de que ahora ha creado una línea temporal alternativa en la que no existe la Liga de la Justicia, sólo el Batman original de las películas de Tim Burton, maravillosamente interpretado por Michael Keaton (Birdman). Juntos reclutan a Supergirl, interpretada por Sasha Calle, e intentan enfrentarse a Michael Shannon (Take Shelter), quien retoma su papel como el general Zod. Luchando contra obstáculos imposibles, la única ventaja que tienen es la capacidad de Flash de viajar en el tiempo, pero cada vez que lo hace, la situación empeora aún más. Con acción vibrante y secuencias espectaculares, The Flash es una de las mejores películas de superhéroes de DC, y lo que la hace aún mejor es la rica conexión emocional que tiene el protagonista con sus padres, y la frustración que siente cuando no puede salvarlos. El elenco incluye a Jeremy Irons, George Clooney (Tomorrowland), Ben Affleck (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) y Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman).

Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023), de David F. Sandberg, es una divertida secuela que reúne a la familia Shazam, liderada por Zachary Levi (Shazam!). No es fácil ser un superhéroe, especialmente cuando apenas eres un adolescente transformado en adulto después de decir una palabra mágica. Esta vez, los héroes tendrán que luchar contra 3 diosas interpretadas por Rachel Zegler, Lucy Liu y Helen Mirren (The Good Liar). En un duelo mágico de proporciones inéditas, el protagonista debe encontrar una manera no sólo de luchar contra el panteón griego, sino también de tratar de mantener unida a su familia putativa. Con personajes encantadores y comedia sin parar, esta secuela está a la altura de nuestras expectativas. El elenco incluye a Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer (It) y Adam Brody (The O.C.).

Aunque la película tiene momentos realmente estúpidos, como la escena en la que la hija de Ant-Man dice que tuvo que luchar contra la policía porque querían desalojar a indigentes (¿desde cuándo defender a los indigentes te convierte en superhéroe?), o villanos que son demasiado ridículos (vaya con ese MODOK - Organismo mecánico diseñado sólo para matar), también tiene momentos absolutamente encantadores, como la secuencia de Bill Murray (Lost in Translation), vería la película aunque sólo fuera por eso.

Susanne Bier dirige Bird Box (2018), una interesantísima producción de terror que gira en torno a Sandra Bullock (The Unforgivable) y un grupo de supervivientes: John Malkovich (Being John Malkovich), Sarah Paulson, Tom Hollander, Colson Baker, etc. La Tierra ha sido invadida por extraterrestres que provocan la muerte de cualquiera que los mire, por lo que para sobrevivir, las personas deben taparse los ojos y hacer todo lo posible para evitar el contacto visual. Bird Box tiene mucho suspenso, y la mayor parte proviene de la habilidad de Bier para crear una atmósfera ominosa, en la que los sonidos son todo lo que tenemos a nuestra disposición. Como no podemos ver las criaturas (al igual que los personajes), solo podemos imaginarlas, y eso siempre es más poderoso que cualquier tipo de efecto especial. Aunque el final fue quizás demasiado optimista para mí, dada la magnitud de la catástrofe, Bird Box vale la pena y definitivamente estoy interesado en su secuela.

July comic books / cómics de julio

I went to see the fireworks on July 4 here in Davis and exactly a week later I had a nice birthday lunch with a couple of friends. And of course I rewarded myself by reading comics! The Joker Uncovered is an interesting collection of Lee Bermejo covers put together under a loose narrative. Something Epic # 2 was a solid second issue. The X-Cellent was good, and the conclusion of Clobberin’ Time came with a surprise or two. Tenement is off to a slow start. The first 2 issues of Ambassadors were great and everything went downhill after that. Wild’s End # 1 was an extraordinary first issue, and definitely a universe I would like to explore more. However, the best comic of the month, thanks to unprecedented levels of brutality and explicit violence has to be Ed Piskor’s Red Room # 2. And now, without further ado, here are July comics as per solicitations:

Fui a ver los fuegos artificiales el 4 de julio aquí en Davis y exactamente una semana después tuve un agradable almuerzo de cumpleaños con un par de amigos. ¡Y por supuesto me recompensé leyendo cómics! The Joker Uncovered es una interesante colección de portadas de Lee Bermejo reunidas bajo una narrativa suelta. Something Epic # 2 fue un segundo número sólido. The X-Cellent estuvo bien, y la conclusión de Clobberin’ Time vino con una o dos sorpresas. Tenement ha tenido un comienzo lento. Los primeros 2 números de Ambassadors fueron estupendos y todo fue cuesta abajo después de eso. Wild's End # 1 fue un primer número extraordinario, y definitivamente un universo que me gustaría explorar más. Sin embargo, el mejor cómic del mes, gracias a los niveles sin precedentes de brutalidad y violencia explícita, tiene que ser Red Room # 2 de Ed Piskor. After returning from my trip, I had plenty of time to read this and last month’s comics. In June, both Marvel and DC celebrated gay pride month with anthologies and variant covers. Fantastic Four # 700 was a pleasant surprise. Danger Street and The X-Cellent continue to quite good. The first issue of Something Epic had great art and the first issue of Red Room was extraordinary. En junio, tanto Marvel como DC celebraron el mes del orgullo gay con antologías y portadas variantes. Fantastic Four #700 fue una agradable sorpresa. Chiaroscuro: the Private Lives of Leonardo da Vinci # 5-10 - Pat McGreal, David Rawson & Chas Truog

In Chiaroscuro, there are recurring elements, quite frequently we see rather peculiar relationships between old men and teenage boys. At the time, any kind of homosexual relationship would be forbidden and would probably end up in a very serious penalty; however, these relationships were still happening in every Italian city where the story takes place: Florence, Milan, Mantua and so on.

In “Limb of Satan” (originally published in Chiaroscuro # 5, November 1995), Leonardo da Vinci has established himself in Mantua, and starts working in the most famous painting in the history of the world: the Mona Lisa. Leonardo comes up with some sketches and preliminary studies (greatly illustrated by Truog), nothing even remotely resembling to what the Mona Lisa will be. Eventually, he decides to discard them all and comes up with the design that we're all familiar with. It’s such a joy to see the visual evolution of a masterpiece. Although Chiaroscuro isn’t necessarily an archeology of art it is still a fictional archeological process, which sometimes is even more captivating than an official document.

According to Van Roojien, Chiaroscuro “breathes the spirit of the Renaissance, a celebration of the human mind. Within minutes I felt completely immersed in this fascinating account of the unbridled splendor and beauty, the sensuality and cruelty, of the world centering around Leonardo Da Vinci”. And Chas Truog’s magnificent art resonates with everyone, it’s “gorgeous in its intricacy”, affirms Andy Oliver, and I agree 100%. In addition to Truog’s pencils, we have Rafael Kayanan as inker; Carla Feeny and Lovern Kindzierski are the colorists; and the covers are photographic compositions by Stephen John Phillips, with additional design by Richard Brunning. Chiaroscuro: the Private Lives of Leonardo da Vinci which was nominated for the Eisner Award for Best Limited Series in 1996, and it should’ve won.

In “Beloved Objects” (Chiaroscuro # 6, December 1995) we see more of the history of the Mona Lisa, and how Leonardo was so emotionally attached to the painting, to a level that is difficult to understand if one is not a creator. But even in the situation of being a creator, not everyone goes through the same process. I think of myself as a writer and since I only write I don't have the same connection with the things that I create; however, for a painting, there is constant physical contact and a real interaction, a unique materiality, which is the work itself (very different from simply typing on a computer). This is very important because that realness is what drives Leonardo to hold on to that painting, as if his life depended on it.

In “Dog Eat Dog” (Chiaroscuro # 7, January 1996), Leonardo starts working as a military advisor and engineer for Borgia, who was at the time  very adept to warfare. Of all the men that Leonardo meets in his life, Borgia is perhaps the only one who realizes how manipulative Salai can be. And yet, as age starts to debilitate the Maestro, Salai is still young and attractive. The “sketch of the head of a youth was claimed to be that of Salai, 'one of his pupils' [...] this attribution at least gave us a starting point in concretely visualizing Salai, and it was consistent with Vasari's description: ‘Having fair locks abundant and curly, in which Leonardo delighted’, explains Rawson. Another description of Salai reinforces this concept: “a graceful and beautiful youth with curly hair, in which Leonardo greatly delighted”. From these descriptions, Pat McGreal and David Rawson find a connection with the greatest sculpture in the history of mankind: Michelangelo's David. In “The Giant” (Chiaroscuro # 8, February 1996), Salai is the model for David; simultaneously, the young man is briefly the lover of the only artist capable of rival Leonardo.

“The Deluge” (Chiaroscuro # 9, March 1996) is a somber and sad chapter. After many failed projects and many frustrations, after being defeated by Michelangelo, who ends up painting for the Pope in Rome, Leonardo is now an old man under the patronage of the king of France, where he must entertain the king and the French court. Around this time, Leonardo meets Francesco Melzi, an attractive young man who becomes his disciple. “Leonardo took an immediate liking to Francesco when he met him as an adolescent at his house in Milan, and took Francesco under his wing as an apprentice”.

After being abandoned by Salai, Leonardo finds consolation in the presence of Francesco Melzi: “Francesco quickly became aware of his master's loneliness, seeing past his legendary fame and genius, and felt impelled to care for him, essentially devoting his whole life to him […] Because the two were so close, lived together, and cared for each other so deeply, there have been theories that Leonardo and Francesco engaged in romantic, homosexual relations”; and as can be found in historical documents, “He described in his letter Leonardo's love for his pupils as ‘sviscerato e ardentissimo amore’” or, in other words, “uncontrolled and passionate love”. 

Besides being manipulative, “Obstinate, thief, liar and glutton are among da Vinci's immediate characterizations” of Salai. Furthermore, “Years later we read 'I'm tired of all the fighting, Salai’, why would Leonardo tolerate such an individual for a quarter century? And why is so little known about their relationship? […] Yet the intriguing fact remains... of the 13,000 manuscript pages the maestro churned out, only about 7,000 can be accounted for. So... where are the others? What happened to them?”, at its core, these are the main questions that Chiaroscuro attempts to answer, and that gives a unique significance to this absolutely astonishing comic. Despite all of Salai’s negative elements, when Leonardo’s health starts deteriorating, he constantly asks Melzi if Salai has sent any letters to him.

“The Great Bird” (Chiaroscuro # 10, April 1996) is a beautiful and heartbreaking end. In a flashback we get to see a very special memory between Leonardo da Vinci and Salai, and we see the final days of the Maestro. I read comics constantly, and I’ve read some of the greatest authors and titles out there, and yet I had no idea Chiaroscuro would be so moving. I only wish we could have more comics like this, unfortunately McGreal passed away in 2021. But at least his artistic creation remains and, sometimes, that’s all we can hope for.

Según Van Roojien, en Claroscuro se “respira el espíritu del Renacimiento, una celebración de la mente humana. En cuestión de minutos me sentí completamente inmerso en este relato fascinante del esplendor y la belleza desenfrenados, la sensualidad y la crueldad del mundo que gira en torno a Leonardo Da Vinci”. Y el magnífico arte de Chas Truog resuena con todos, es “hermoso en su complejidad“, afirma Andy Oliver, y estoy 100% de acuerdo. Además de los lápices de Truog, contamos con Rafael Kayanan como entintador; Carla Feeny y Lovern Kindzierski son los coloristas; y las portadas son composiciones fotográficas de Stephen John Phillips, con diseño adicional de Richard Brunning. Chiaroscuro: the Private Lives of Leonardo da Vinci, fue nominada al Premio Eisner a la Mejor Serie Limitada en 1996, y debió haberlo ganado.

Mona Lisa

En “Objetos amados” (Chiaroscuro # 6, diciembre de 1995) vemos más de la historia de la Mona Lisa, y cómo Leonardo estaba tan apegado emocionalmente a la pintura, a un nivel que es difícil de entender si uno no es un creador. Pero incluso en la situación de ser creador, no todos pasan por el mismo proceso. Me considero un escritor y como sólo escribo no tengo la misma conexión con las cosas que creo; sin embargo, en una pintura hay un contacto físico constante y una interacción real, una materialidad única, que es la obra misma (muy diferente a simplemente teclear en una computadora). Esto es muy importante porque esa realidad es lo que impulsa a Leonardo a aferrarse a ese cuadro, como si su vida dependiera de ello.

Salai = David

En “Perro come perro” (Claroscuro # 7, enero de 1996), Leonardo comienza a trabajar como asesor militar e ingeniero de Borgia, quien en ese momento era muy aficionado a la guerra. De todos los hombres que Leonardo conoce en su vida, Borgia es quizás el único que se da cuenta de lo manipulador que puede ser Salai. Y, sin embargo, a medida que la edad comienza a debilitar al Maestro, Salai sigue siendo joven y atractivo. “El diluvio” (Claroscuro # 9, marzo de 1996) es un capítulo sombrío y triste. Tras muchos proyectos fallidos y muchas frustraciones, tras ser derrotado por Miguel Ángel, que acaba pintando para el Papa en Roma, Leonardo es ahora un anciano bajo el patrocinio del rey de Francia, donde debe entretener al rey y a la corte francesa. Por esta época, Leonardo conoce a Francesco Melzi, un atractivo joven que se convierte en su discípulo. “Leonardo se encariñó inmediatamente con Francesco cuando lo conoció de adolescente en su casa de Milán, y tomó a Francesco bajo su ala como aprendiz”.

Después de ser abandonado por Salai, Leonardo encuentra consuelo en la presencia de Francesco Melzi: “Francesco se dio cuenta rápidamente de la soledad de su maestro, viendo más allá de su fama y genio legendarios, y se sintió impulsado a cuidarlo, esencialmente dedicándole toda su vida [ …] Debido a que los dos eran tan cercanos, vivían juntos y se preocupaban tanto el uno por el otro, ha habido teorías de que Leonardo y Francesco tuvieron relaciones homosexuales románticas”; y como puede encontrarse en documentos históricos, “Él describió en su carta el amor de Leonardo por sus alumnos como ‘sviscerato e ardentissimo amore’” o, en otras palabras, “amor descontrolado y ardentísimo”.

Además de ser manipulador, “obstinado, ladrón, mentiroso y glotón se encuentran entre las caracterizaciones inmediatas de da Vinci” de Salai. Además, “Años después leemos 'Estoy cansado de todas las peleas, Salai', ¿por qué Leonardo toleraría a un individuo así durante un cuarto de siglo? ¿Y por qué se sabe tan poco sobre su relación? […] Sin embargo, el hecho intrigante permanece... de las 13,000 páginas manuscritas que el maestro produjo, sólo se pueden contabilizar unas 7,000. Entonces... ¿dónde están las demás? ¿Qué les pasó?”, en el fondo, estas son las principales preguntas que Claroscuro intenta responder, y que le dan un significado único a este cómic absolutamente asombroso. A pesar de todos los elementos negativos de Salai, cuando la salud de Leonardo comienza a deteriorarse, constantemente le pregunta a Melzi si Salai le ha enviado alguna carta.

“Gran ave” (Claroscuro # 10, abril de 1996) es un final hermoso y desgarrador. En un flashback podemos ver un recuerdo muy especial entre Leonardo da Vinci y Salai, y vemos los últimos días del Maestro. Leo cómics constantemente, y he leído algunos de los mejores autores y títulos que existen, y sin embargo, no tenía idea de que Claroscuro sería tan conmovedor. Ojalá pudiéramos tener más cómics como este, lamentablemente McGreal falleció el 2021. Pero al menos su creación artística permanece y, a veces, eso es todo lo que podemos pedir.
