Happy New Year! Let's celebrate the beginning of 2026 combining December films with the Best of 2025 List. Directed by Josh Safdie, Marty Supreme (2025) is an unstoppable adventure that made me feel fascinated by ping pong. Timothée Chalamet (Dune) is a young man obsessed with becoming the world champion of table tennis in the 50s, his whole identity revolves around this ambitious goal, and as he tries his best to leave behind a life of poverty and mediocrity, as well as his first love interest, Odessa A'zion, and Fran Drescher, his mother. He must make sacrifices in order to participate in the world championship in London. During a hectic and chaotic journey he’ll meet Gwyneth Paltrow (The Talented Mr. Ripley), who will soon become his lover. I have no intentions of summarizing the film, suffice to say that there is so much action, frenetic struggle, incredible energy and moments of pure and raw conflict that will touch the viewers. The cast includes Fred Hechinger (Thelma) and even David Mamet! With top notch performances, a captivating script and especially a truly remarkable performance by Timothée Chalamet, Marty Supreme is definitely one of the best releases of 2025.

Peter Cattaneo’s The Pinguin Lessons (2024) is a delightful and wonderful story about the unlikely transformation of Steve Coogan, a British teacher who has lost all his motivation and is now stranded in Argentina in the 70s, during the military dictatorship, reluctantly working in a private British boarding school under the direction of headmaster Jonathan Pryce. When the protagonist rescues a penguin, the animal will become his loyal companion, and through this pure bond of loyalty and friendship, the man will start embracing life and rediscovering his passion for teaching. However, under a military dictatorship many problems will arise, and the idea of solidarity will be explored not only by the protagonist but also by all those around him. A wonderful, beautiful film that will inspire you and move you like no others.

The Friend (2024), directed by Scott McGehee and David Siegel, it’s an interesting take on multigenerational friendship and the bonds between two people who were friends and also, albeit briefly lovers. Bill Murray (Ghostbusters), a famous and respected writer, was a mentor to Naomi Watts (3 Generations), who is also a writer; however, when the man decides to commit suicide, shocking everyone, he also decides to bequeath her his most cherished possession, a dog, a Great Dane. Suddenly, Naomi Watts’ entire life is turned upside down due to the presence of this huge dog. Although she hates this imposition at first, she soon warms up to the animal, who happens to be a reminder of a lost friendship. Although The Friend has many insightful moments, I think it’s insufficient when it tries to encompass the notion of loss and death.

Matt Johnson’s BlackBerry (2023) is quite an entertaining biopic that revolves around the founders of the first smartphone in history, the BlackBerry. We get to meet Mike Lazaridis, the inventor, and Jim Balsillie, the aggressive businessman, played by Jay Baruchel (Just Buried) and Glenn Howerton respectively, and we get to see the humble origins of a small company that eventually became a giant. However, as it frequently happens, BlackBerry underestimated its competition, and when Apple announced the iPhone, everything started going downhill. From owning half of the phone market at its peak to disappearing completely, BlackBerry perfectly summarizes what happens when extreme ambition collides with undiluted arrogance. 

Time’s but a veiled screen, whereon our silhouettes fatten then grow lean. Another year has come and gone in this on-line journal and that indubitably calls forth a proper measure of our cinematographic experiences. Now let us be about our grudging rounds. Speak well, oh reader, and listen even better, for we have enough wit yet left to surprise thee. It is proposed we should find positions for all motion pictures presented in the course of 2023, and with an agile mind and knowledge both of directors and actors, we trust thou shalt count our judgment amongst the very best. Thus must we testify... sufficient in our intimate thoughts that these estimations spilled delinquent out of our mouths are indeed of the noblest disposition.

Dirigida por Josh Safdie, Marty Supreme (2025) es una aventura sin pausa que me obligó a interesarme por el ping pong. Timothée Chalamet (Dune) es un joven obsesionado con convertirse en el campeón mundial de tenis de mesa en los 50s. Toda su identidad gira en torno a este ambicioso objetivo, y mientras se esfuerza por dejar atrás una vida de pobreza y mediocridad, así como a su primer interés amoroso, Odessa A'zion, y a Fran Drescher, su madre, deberá hacer sacrificios para participar en el campeonato mundial de Londres. Durante un viaje frenético y caótico, conocerá a Gwyneth Paltrow (The Talented Mr. Ripley), quien pronto se convertirá en su amante. No pretendo resumir la película; basta con decir que hay muchísima acción, lucha frenética, energía increíble y momentos de conflicto puro y crudo que conmoverán a los espectadores. El reparto incluye a Fred Hechinger (Thelma) ¡e incluso a David Mamet! Con actuaciones de primera, un guión cautivador y, sobre todo, una interpretación realmente notable de parte de Timothée Chalamet, Marty Supreme es sin duda uno de los mejores estrenos del 2025.

The Pinguin Lessons (2024), de Peter Cattaneo, es una historia encantadora y maravillosa sobre la improbable transformación de Steve Coogan, un maestro británico que ha perdido toda motivación y se encuentra varado en Argentina en los  70s, durante la dictadura militar, trabajando a regañadientes en un internado privado británico bajo la dirección del director Jonathan Pryce. Cuando el protagonista rescata a un pingüino, el animal se convierte en su fiel compañero, y a través de este vínculo puro de lealtad y amistad, el hombre comienza a abrazar la vida y a redescubrir su pasión por la enseñanza. Sin embargo, bajo una dictadura militar, surgen muchos problemas, y la idea de la solidaridad será explorada no sólo por el protagonista, sino también por todos los que lo rodean. Una película maravillosa y hermosa que te inspirará y conmoverá como ninguna otra. 

The Friend (2024), dirigida por Scott McGehee y David Siegel, es una perspectiva interesante sobre la amistad multigeneracional y los vínculos entre dos personas que fueron amigos y también, aunque brevemente, amantes. Bill Murray (Ghostbusters), un escritor famoso y respetado, fue mentor de Naomi Watts (3 Generations), quien también es escritora; sin embargo, cuando el hombre decide suicidarse, impactando a todos, también decide legarle su posesión más preciada: un perro, un gran danés. De repente, la vida de Naomi Watts da un vuelco debido a la presencia de este enorme perro. Aunque al principio detesta esta imposición, pronto se encariña con el animal, quien resulta ser un recordatorio de una amistad perdida. Si bien The Friend tiene muchos momentos reveladores, creo que es insuficiente cuando intenta abarcar la noción de pérdida y muerte.

BlackBerry (2023), de Matt Johnson, es una película biográfica bastante entretenida que gira en torno a los fundadores del primer teléfono inteligente de la historia, el BlackBerry. Conocemos a Mike Lazaridis, el inventor, y a Jim Balsillie, el agresivo empresario, interpretados por Jay Baruchel (Just Buried) y Glenn Howerton respectivamente, y vemos los humildes orígenes de una pequeña empresa que con el tiempo se convirtió en un gigante. Sin embargo, como suele ocurrir, BlackBerry subestimó a su competencia, y cuando Apple anunció el iPhone, todo empezó a ir cuesta abajo. De poseer la mitad del mercado de teléfonos en su apogeo a desaparecer por completo, BlackBerry resume a la perfección lo que sucede cuando la ambición extrema choca con la arrogancia descarada.

El tiempo no es sino un delgado velo, sobre él nuestras siluetas se abultan o aligeran. Otro año va y viene en este atormentado blog y ello indudablemente merece que sopesemos apropiadamente nuestras experiencias cinematográficas. Que sea así, por ende, y dejadnos girar el torno y la rueda. Hablad, oh lectores, y escuchad bien, puesto que aún nos resta suficiente ingenio para sorprenderos. Se ha propuesto que debíamos encontrar posiciones para todas las imágenes en movimiento presentadas en el transcurso del 2023, y con mente ágil y conocimientos tanto en materia de directores como de actores, confiamos en que vosotros incluiréis nuestro juicio entre los mejores. Aqueste es nuestro testimonio... suficiente en nuestro pensamiento íntimo que estas apreciaciones, desparramadas al alimón, sean de la más noble disposición.

January films / películas de enero

I had the good fortune of going to Lima, Peru, in January. Of course it was summer over there, while it’s still winter in Kentucky. And I had the chance to actually go to the movies for the first time in months. First I saw The Room Next Door (2024), the newest Pedro Almodóvar film, a very intimate exploration of life and friendship as seen through the eyes of Tilda Swinton (We Need to Talk About Kevin), a war reporter that had survived in the most dangerous battlefields only to be decimated by her fatal diagnosis of cancer. Her only friend and confident is writer Julianne Moore (When You Finish Saving the World). Together, they embark on a rather peculiar trip in a luxury property a couple of hours from New York. It’s in this place that the protagonist plans to exercise her right to euthanasia, but her friend feels very uncomfortable with any suicidal ideations. The two women reminisce the past while trying to confront the present and an immediate future in which only one of them will still be alive. Almodóvar creates fascinating characters and balances the ominous premise with moments of pure love, camaraderie and even humor. Definitely one of the best films of 2024.

Robert Eggers directs Nosferatu (2024), a remake of the classic 1922 horror movie. Lily-Rose Depp is a woman who has been seduced by the incarnation of evil, Nosferatu, an immortal vampire magnificently played by Bill Skarsgård (The Devil All the Time). When the woman marries Nicholas Hoult (Renfield), this ancient evil reawakens. Soon, the husband will have to travel to Transylvania, and there he will meet Nosferatu himself. In the meantime, good friends Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Dummy) and Emma Corrin (My Policeman) are taking care of the wife, who not only feels lonely but is also plagued by terrible nightmares and seizures. When Nosferatu approaches their hometown, only a discredited professor, Willem Dafoe (4:44 Last Day on Earth), will be able to help defeat this supernatural horror. Although the film pays homage to the classic production from the 20s, director Eggers revitalized the story, creating an eerie atmosphere and giving tremendous power to darkness. The performance of all actors and actresses here is absolutely outstanding, and there are many unforgettable sequences that will haunt the audience long after the credits roll down. Nosferatu is unlike any other Dracula or vampire-related movie, it has the elegance of a classic and the unfiltered raw power of ancient myths. I definitely recommend it. 

I’ve seen Gladiator (2000), directed by Sir Ridley Scott, so many times. I have a fascination for Roman history, and I actually read Meditations, the book written by the philosopher emperor Marcus Aurelius, brilliantly played by Richard Harris. After years of wars with the Germanic barbarians, the emperor is ready to return Rome to its people, to ensure this transition from empire to democracy, he names loyal general Maximus as the protector of Rome. Maximus is played by Russell Crowe (Noah), in what is now one of his most iconic roles. The emperor’s son, Commodus, played by Joaquin Phoenix (Irrational Man), will murder his own father to become emperor, much to the frustration and sorrow of his sister Lucilla, played by Connie Nielsen (Wonder Woman). Maximus is apprehended but he manages to escape, wounded and exhausted, he reaches his home only to see the corpse of his wife and son, murdered by order of Commodus. He falls in the hands of a slave trader Oliver Reed, who will train him to become a gladiator and fight in Rome. And this gladiator surely conquers the arena of the Coliseum but also the hearts of the people of Rome, including roman senator Sir Derek Jacobi and Lucilla’s young son, Spencer Treat Clark (Unbreakable). Vibrant moments of action, impressive historical reconstruction, top notch acting and plenty of necessary violence turn Gladiator into an undisputable classic. 

It would take Sir Ridley Scott 24 years to come up with the sequel, Gladiator II (2024). This time Paul Mescal (All of Us Strangers) is a respected warrior whose people and city are defeated and conquered by Roman general Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us). The protagonist is sold as a slave and is forced to become a gladiator, under the orders of a manipulative and Machiavellian Denzel Washington (The Little Things). In Rome, the protagonist will meet Lucilla, the daughter of emperor Marcus Aurelius, once again played by Connie Nielsen, as well as senator Sir Derek Jacobi. Together, they will try to overthrow the twin emperors Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things) and Fred Hechinger (Thelma). There is a lot of intrigue, outstanding fighting sequences and fantastic performances. However, since I have a strong passion for Roman history, I will say that I was quite unsatisfied with the representation of emperor Caracalla. Of course, this isn’t supposed to be a documentary but a little bit more of historical accuracy shouldn’t be a problem. I particularly enjoyed the way Gladiator II can stand on its own while, at the same time, has strong connections with the previous film. And again, the questions of loyalty, the idea behind the notion of empire, and the constant struggle of power turn this into a sequel that lives up to the hype.

Tuve la suerte de ir a Lima, Perú, en enero. Por supuesto, era verano allí, mientras que en Kentucky todavía es invierno. Y tuve la oportunidad de ir al cine por primera vez en meses. Primero vi The Room Next Door (2024), la nueva película de Pedro Almodóvar, una exploración muy íntima de la vida y la amistad vista a través de los ojos de Tilda Swinton (We Need to Talk About Kevin), una reportera de guerra que sobrevivió en los campos de batalla más peligrosos sólo para ser diezmada por su diagnóstico fatal de cáncer. Su única amiga y confidente es la escritora Julianne Moore (When You Finish Saving the World). Juntas, se embarcan en un viaje bastante peculiar en una propiedad de lujo a un par de horas de New York. Es en este lugar donde la protagonista planea ejercer su derecho a la eutanasia, pero su amiga se siente muy incómoda con cualquier ideación suicida. Las dos mujeres recuerdan el pasado mientras intentan enfrentar el presente y un futuro inmediato en el que solo una de ellas seguirá viva. Almodóvar crea personajes fascinantes y equilibra la premisa ominosa con momentos de amor puro, camaradería e incluso humor. Sin duda una de las mejores películas de 2024.

Robert Eggers dirige Nosferatu (2024), un remake del clásico de terror de 1922. Lily-Rose Depp es una mujer que ha sido seducida por la encarnación del mal, Nosferatu, un vampiro inmortal interpretado magníficamente por Bill Skarsgård (The Devil All the Time). Cuando la mujer se casa con Nicholas Hoult (Renfield), este antiguo mal despierta. Pronto, el marido tendrá que viajar a Transilvania, y allí se encontrará con el mismísimo Nosferatu. Mientras tanto, los amigos cercanos Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Dummy) y Emma Corrin (My Policeman) se ocupan de la esposa, que no solo se siente sola, sino que también sufre terribles pesadillas y convulsiones. Cuando Nosferatu se acerca a su ciudad natal, solo un profesor desacreditado, Willem Dafoe (4:44 Last Day on Earth), podrá ayudarlos a derrotar a este horror sobrenatural. Aunque la película rinde homenaje a la producción clásica de los 20s, el director Eggers revitalizó la historia, creando una atmósfera inquietante y otorgando un tremendo poder a la oscuridad. La actuación de todos los actores y actrices es absolutamente excepcional y hay muchas secuencias inolvidables que perseguirán a la audiencia mucho después de que pasen los créditos finales. Nosferatu no se parece a ninguna otra película relacionada con Drácula o vampiros, tiene la elegancia de un clásico y el poder crudo y sin filtros de los mitos antiguos. Definitivamente la recomiendo.

He visto Gladiator (2000), dirigida por Sir Ridley Scott, muchas veces. Tengo una fascinación por la historia romana y de hecho leí Meditaciones, el libro escrito por el emperador filósofo Marco Aurelio, brillantemente interpretado por Richard Harris. Después de años de guerras con los bárbaros germánicos, el emperador está listo para devolver Roma a su pueblo, y para asegurar esta transición del imperio a la democracia, nombra al leal general Maximus como el protector de Roma. Maximus es interpretado por Russell Crowe (Noah), en uno de sus papeles más icónicos. El hijo del emperador, Cómodo, interpretado por Joaquin Phoenix (Irrational Man), asesinará a su propio padre para convertirse en emperador, para gran frustración y dolor de su hermana Lucilla, interpretada por Connie Nielsen (Wonder Woman). Maximus es aprehendido pero logra escapar, herido y exhausto, llega a su casa solo para ver el cadáver de su esposa y su hijo, asesinados por orden de Cómodo. Cae en manos de un traficante de esclavos, Oliver Reed, quien lo entrenará para convertirse en gladiador y luchar en Roma. Y este gladiador completamente conquista la arena del Coliseo, pero también los corazones del pueblo de Roma, incluido el senador romano Sir Derek Jacobi y el joven hijo de Lucilla, Spencer Treat Clark (Unbreakable). Momentos de acción vibrantes, una reconstrucción histórica impresionante, actuaciones de primer nivel y mucha violencia necesaria convierten a Gladiator en un clásico indiscutible.

Sir Ridley Scott necesitaría 24 años para concebir la secuela, Gladiator II (2024). En esta ocasión, Paul Mescal (All of Us Strangers) es un respetado guerrero cuya gente y ciudad son derrotadas y conquistadas por el general romano Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us). El protagonista es vendido como esclavo y se ve obligado a convertirse en gladiador, bajo las órdenes de un manipulador y maquiavélico Denzel Washington (The Little Things). En Roma, el protagonista conocerá a Lucilla, la hija del emperador Marco Aurelio, interpretada una vez más por Connie Nielsen, así como al senador Sir Derek Jacobi. Juntos, intentarán derrocar a los emperadores mellizos Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things) y Fred Hechinger (Thelma). Hay mucha intriga, secuencias de lucha excepcionales y actuaciones fantásticas. Sin embargo, como tengo una gran pasión por la historia romana, diré que no me satisfizo mucho la representación del emperador Caracalla. Por supuesto, no se supone que sea un documental, pero un poco más de precisión histórica no debería ser un problema. Disfruté especialmente la forma en que Gladiator II puede sostenerse por sí sola y, al mismo tiempo, tiene fuertes conexiones con la película anterior. Y una vez más, las cuestiones de lealtad, la idea detrás de la noción de imperio y la lucha constante por el poder la convierten en una secuela que está a la altura de nuestras expectativas.

Happy New Year! Let's celebrate the beginning of 2025 combining December films with the Best of 2024 List. Josh Margolin writes and directs a film inspired by his own grandmother. In Thelma (2024), June Squibb is 93 year olds, she lives alone struggling to use her smartphone or her computer, her only joy in life are the visits of his grandson, Fred Hechinger (The Woman in the Window), a confused young man who is trying to find himself. Suddenly, the protagonist peaceful routine is ruined when she falls victim of a scam, intent on recovering the money that was stolen from her, she runs away in search of the scammers. Thelma is a beautiful film that focus on the isolation of old age and the decay of the body, but also offers a glint of hope in terms of meaningful connections with both young and old people. The relationship between grandmother and grandson is touching and at the same time realistic. Thelma is a delightful old woman that becomes the unassuming heroine of her own adventure. And we all love her for that. 

When You Finish Saving the World (2022), written and directed by Jesse Eisenberg, has a unique voice and an invigorating perspective regarding the lives of a higher middle-class family in which lack of communication and disagreements seem to be the norm. Finn Wolfhard (It) is a teenager obsessed with his fleeting online fame, constantly dreaming about becoming a famous musician and surreptitiously masturbating while holding the poem of the girl he has a crush on. Julianne Moore (Still Alice) is his mother, an uptight and strict woman who creates tension wherever she goes, and who befriends Billy Bryk, a homeless teenager who is grateful for the way she is helping him. Every character in this magnificent film seems to be drowning in isolation, and no one seems to understand each other. And yet, these are good people at their core, struggling to feel they have meaningful lives and can leave a legacy. I was pleasantly surprised by Eisenberg’s talent as a filmmaker and I look forward to his next production.

 

Everybody Wants Some!! (2016) was written and directed by Richard Linklater and it revolves around the lives of a group of college kids in the 80s. They’re all in the baseball team and just a couple of days before the semester starts, they embark on a wild adventure of self-discovery, alcohol intoxication and promiscuous sexual escapades. Blake Jenner, is the protagonist, a freshman who just moved into a dilapidated house full of guys, including Tyler Hoechlin (Road to Perdition), Ryan Guzman, Wyatt Russell, Temple Baker and Glen Powell. Together they discover friendship, drunkenness and the ability to seduce girls regardless of the circumstances.

Based on the novel by Cormac McCarthy, The Road (2009). Director John Hillcoat excels with this intense adaptation of the source material; it might be unrelenting, cruel, bleak and sad, and yet, it is not completely devoid of hope. In a post-apocalyptic future, Viggo Mortensen (Captain Fantastic) is a man about to die of starvation, who constantly remembers his beloved wife Charlize Theron (Mad Max: Fury Road), who didn’t survive. The protagonist’s only goal is to help his son, Kodi Smit-McPhee (All the Wilderness), to survive. Together, they walk along the road, trying to avoid cannibals and murders who are foraging for the last resources available in a world in which life is slowly becoming extinct. I had already seen it but I was still equally moved and shocked by it. 

Danny Boyle directed The Beach (2000), based on Alex Garland’s novel. The story revolves around Leonardo DiCaprio (Catch Me if You Can), a young man who is traveling around the world and having incredible adventures, until he finds a map that will lead him to a paradisiac island. Joined by French travelers Guillaume Canet and Virginie Ledoyen, they arrive to the dream destination only to find out that a very unusual and experimental small society exists there, and their leader is Tilda Swinton (We Need to Talk About Kevin). Having spent the last 4 summers of my life traveling like crazy, I totally related to a lot of what happens in the film, especially the sense of wonder and promise that we all experience before setting foot in an unknow location. Boyle aptly captures the beauty and the horror of a place that was too good to be true.

Celebrity (1998), written and directed by Woody Allen, is a hilarious comedy that focuses on the concept of celebrities. Kenneth Branagh (Conspiracy) is a screenwriter trying to get the biggest Hollywood star, Leonardo DiCaprio (Shutter Island), to star in his next movie. The two of them spend time together, drinking, gambling and even having sex with several prostitutes simultaneously (a situation that makes the protagonist uncomfortable due to the proximity of male genitalia). Judy Davis is the protagonist’s ex-wife, who unexpectedly meets a big time producer who will make her famous. The all-star cast includes Melanie Griffith, Winona Ryder and Charlize Theron (Atomic Blonde). Allen explores in a lucid and captivating way the neurotic nature of the protagonist, his obsession with beautiful women and his frustration for not reaching a much-coveted celebrity status. 

Time’s but a veiled screen, whereon our silhouettes fatten then grow lean. Another year has come and gone in this on-line journal and that indubitably calls forth a proper measure of our cinematographic experiences. Now let us be about our grudging rounds. Speak well, oh reader, and listen even better, for we have enough wit yet left to surprise thee. It is proposed we should find positions for all motion pictures presented in the course of 2023, and with an agile mind and knowledge both of directors and actors, we trust thou shalt count our judgment amongst the very best. Thus must we testify... sufficient in our intimate thoughts that these estimations spilled delinquent out of our mouths are indeed of the noblest disposition.

¡Feliz año nuevo! Celebremos el inicio del 2025 combinando las películas de diciembre con la lista de lo mejor del 2024.  Josh Margolin escribe y dirige una película inspirada en su propia abuela. En Thelma (2024), June Squibb tiene 93 años, vive sola y se desespera intentando utilizar su nuevo celular o su computadora, su única alegría en la vida son las visitas de su nieto, Fred Hechinger (The Woman in the Window), un joven confundido que está tratando de encontrarse a sí mismo. De repente, la rutina pacífica de la protagonista se arruina cuando es víctima de una estafa. Con la intención de recuperar el dinero que le robaron, huye en busca de los estafadores. Thelma es una hermosa película que se centra en el aislamiento de la vejez y la descomposición del cuerpo, pero también ofrece un destello de esperanza en términos de conexiones significativas entre personas jóvenes y ancianos. La relación entre abuela y nieto es conmovedora y al mismo tiempo realista. Thelma es una anciana encantadora que se convierte en la modesta heroína de su propia aventura. Y todos la amamos por ello.

Al haber pasado los últimos 4 veranos de mi vida viajando como loco, me identifiqué totalmente con mucho de lo que sucede en la película, especialmente la sensación de asombro y promesa que todos experimentamos antes de poner un pie en un lugar desconocido. Boyle captura acertadamente la belleza y el horror de un lugar que era demasiado bueno para ser verdad.

Celebrity (1998), escrita y dirigida por Woody Allen, es una comedia hilarante que se centra en el concepto de la celebridad. Kenneth Branagh (Conspiracy) es un guionista que intenta conseguir que la estrella más grande de Hollywood, Leonardo DiCaprio (Shutter Island), protagonice su próxima película. Allen explora de manera lúcida y cautivadora la naturaleza neurótica del protagonista, su obsesión por las mujeres hermosas y su frustración por no alcanzar ese tan codiciado estatus de celebridad.

El tiempo no es sino un delgado velo, sobre él nuestras siluetas se abultan o aligeran. Otro año va y viene en este atormentado blog y ello indudablemente merece que sopesemos apropiadamente nuestras experiencias cinematográficas. Que sea así, por ende, y dejadnos girar el torno y la rueda. Hablad, oh lectores, y escuchad bien, puesto que aún nos resta suficiente ingenio para sorprenderos. Se ha propuesto que debíamos encontrar posiciones para todas las imágenes en movimiento presentadas en el transcurso del 2023, y con mente ágil y conocimientos tanto en materia de directores como de actores, confiamos en que vosotros incluiréis nuestro juicio entre los mejores. Aqueste es nuestro testimonio... suficiente en nuestro pensamiento íntimo que estas apreciaciones, desparramadas al alimón, sean de la más noble disposición.
